What is Operation Restore Point?
Operation Restore Point is our peer support respite program. We are working to build a retreat where First Responders and Military service members can go to decompress with their peers.
A “Restore Point” is a technical term that allows you to restore your computer’s operating system to that of a previous point in time, which can be used to recover from system malfunctions or other problems.
Our respites are non-clinical and do not offer services like medication management. Instead they provide welcoming, healing environments where guests are given peer support and space to heal and recover. Guests leave with a recovery plan, connections to resources, and renewed hope in their own abilities.
The 5 day retreat includes
- Round trip airfare
- Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner)
- Airport Transportation
- On site support and referral services
- Peer-to-Peer group counseling
- A gift bag filled with gaming and mental wellness items to take home
- and MORE!
Through this program, guests will be able to connect with their peers who have had lived experiences with trauma, anxiety, depression and PTSD in a safe and welcoming environment. Caregivers are also welcome.
Eligibility for this program is limited to those who work or have worked in EMS, Fire, Police (including Corrections and Dispatchers), and the Military. Applicants must be able to show proof of service in order to qualify.
